Providence, RI USA, 2018- JULY – Vector Software announced that the VectorCAST automated test platform has been selected by German founded Ottobock as their platform of choice for safety critical embedded software testing. Ottobock is the German world market leader in technical orthopaedics and one of the leading manufacturers in the field of orthotics, human mobility (manual and electric wheelchairs as well as rehabilitation products) and medical care. Vector Software is part of Vector Informatik, the leading manufacturer of software tools and embedded components for the development of electronic systems.
Headquartered in Duderstadt, Germany, Ottobock operates in more than 50 countries with more than 7,000 employees worldwide. Ottobock engineers have deployed VectorCAST to automate unit and integration embedded testing on software used in mechatronic lower limb prosthesis and orthotic systems.
Ottobock engineers profit from a continuous test environment for the development of critical embedded software applications. With VectorCAST, Ottobock developers fulfill the requirements of IEC 62304 as well as the regulatory requirements of several U.S. FDA Guidelines and recommendations.
Additionally, VectorCAST provides code coverage analysis, requirements traceability, and on-target testing.
