As a basic rule every functional safety application should be based on a simple and understandable system design. However, modern software-based computing systems are getting more and more complex and their role in safety relevant applications (e.g. for autonomous driving, collaborative machines, etc.) is increasing rapidly. One way to address this complexity is to breakdown the software architecture using certified software components.

The webinar provides a detailed technical overview about the scope, benefits and conditions related to certification of software-only products (libraries, operating systems, tools, etc.).

Agenda:

  • Functional safety principles
  • Modularity, SEooC and Compliant Items
  • Certification of software only SeooC/Compliant
  • Development support tools: requirements and certification
  • Live demo
