Software Developers
Due to growth, we currently have multiple openings for Software Developers. Your role will be to enhance existing VectorCAST features, add new functionality, and contribute to our internal development infrastructure. Each team member is an integral part of development including: analysis, design, implementation of enhancements to existing VectorCAST functionality, and creation of new functionality
Job Responsibilities- Interact with the software architect to design new VectorCAST functionality
- Design, Code, and Test new functionality
- Interact with the QA and Test teams to enable integration and release of new functionality
- 3-5 years experience developing professional-grade embedded software with C++
- Excellent understanding of OO design patterns
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex requirements into elegant designs
- Experience with the C++ Standard Template Library STL
- 3-5 years professional experience using Python, Perl, VBA, Java, or similar languages
- 3-5 years professional experience using embedded compilers and debuggers
- Experience with one or more embedded compilers:
(Green Hills, IAR, ARM, Keil, CodeWarrior, CodeComposer) - Experience with one or more Real Time Operating Systems:
(INTEGRITY, VxWorks, QNX)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and to understand code written by others
- Ability to quickly identify and acquire information necessary for solving problems
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Embedded real-time operating systems experience
- Experience developing and debugging software for an embedded microprocessor
- Experience with one or more software testing tools:
(VectorCAST, LDRA TBrun, Rational TestRT, Parasoft C++Test, Cantata, Tessy)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
Software Field Applications Engineer - Territory: USA, UK
The role of a Vector Software Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will be to help our customers successfully utilize Vector Software products to achieve their program goals in a timely manner. This role involves both remote debugging from a local office and the opportunity to travel to customer sites.
Educational Requirement- Pre-sales technical presentations
- Answering customers questions
- Providing on-site support and customer training for Vector Software products
- Troubleshooting customer problems
- Utilizing detailed knowledge of Vector Software's technology to develop and distribute implemented solutions for the customer
- Experience developing professional-grade embedded software with C++
- Excellent understanding of OO design
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly and to understand code written by others
- Ability to quickly identify and acquire information necessary for solving problems
- Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent issues and follow through to closure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel several weeks out of the year
- Embedded real-time operating systems experience
- Experience with WindRiver, Green Hills, LynxOS, IT, Freescale, IAR development tools
- Experience developing software to a certification standards:
(DO-278, DO-178B, ED-12B, IEC 62304, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, EN 50128) - Experience developing and debugging software for an embedded microprocessor
- Experience with one ore more software testing tools:
(VectorCAST, LDRA TBrun, Rational TestRT, Parasoft C++Test, Cantata, Tessy)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics
