PHOENIX, AZ [via] — Five of the world’s top aerospace companies just selected HighRely to deliver DO-178C solutions including DO-178C Training, DO-178C Gap Analysis, DO-178C Strategic Guidance, DO-178C Project Planning, DO-178C Checklists, and DO-178C software development. HighRely’s DO-178C training describes D0-178C’s changes over DO-178B and emphasizes DO-178C’s Formal Methods, DO-178C Tool Qualification, and DO-178C Object Oriented Technology. HighRely’s DO178C services and products again lead the industry and help more companies achieve DO-178C efficiency.
Says Mr. Mike Smith, HighRely’s Client Relations Manager “HighRely’s DO-178C offerings were developed specifically to assist avionics companies in achieving DO178C compliance. To have HighRely’s D0-178C services immediately selected by five companies is really a testament to HighRely’s strong DO-178 reputation throughout the world for delivering success. It’s an unusually strong start for a new offering, particularly since DO-178C has been delayed for so long.
Adds Vance Hilderman, HighRely’s co-founder and co-author of the world’s largest selling book on DO-178 “DO-178 is used by many industries, not just avionics; we have medical companies, nuclear companies, industrial control companies, and even an elevator company procuring HighRely’s DO-178 solutions. We just had two of the world’s largest Unmanned Aerial Systems companies procuring our UAS DO-178C services to apply DO-178C on unmanned aerial systems and vehicles. This shows that DO-178, and now DO-178C, will lead the world in providing a higher quality standard for critical software and systems development. The five companies that recently hired HighRely to help them achieve forthcoming DO-178C success comprise some of the finest and best known avionics companies in the world. They wanted HighRely to perform DO-178C gap analysis, where HighRely performs proprietary analysis of a company’s software development process to DO-178C processes. Three of these companies want DO-178C Military solutions as they will build both commercial and military DO-178C systems. The other two companies wanted HighRely’s DO-178C Training, DO-178C processes, and HighRely’s DO-178C certification services which will be required for systems delivery in 2011. One company wanted HighRely’s DO-178C based systems safety analysis and one of the companies wanted HighRely’s DO-297 Integrated Modular Avionics solutions for a DO-178C rotorcraft (helicopter) project.”
HighRely will also offer its JumpCert-178C package to avionics developers needing DO-178C compliance or DO-178C certification. Says Mr. Reza Madjidi, FAA registered DER and HighRely DO-178C Product Manager “JumpCert-178 has proven to be the most popular package in the world of its type for avionics developers seeking compliance or certification to DO-178. With HighRely’s headstart and preparation for DO-178C, we’re actually thankful DO-178C was delayed so long by those involved. This gave us an extra two years to refine our DO-178C tools like RelyTRACE for DO-178C and RelyCHECK for DO-178C, which will be even more popular under DO-178C. Currently, they are the only tools of their kind in the world which consider DO-178C’s requirements and DO-178C traceability.”

how do I go about getting traning on do-178C ?? it has not been released yet correct.
Hi Don – 178C is generally “done” and should be released in 3-4 months. Our 178B training is updated to include 178C info. We don’t believe 178C will change significantly in the next few months prior to formal release. Next training class is on Sept 15-16 in San Diego and again Oct 20-21 in London. Like info? Please email at vance.hilderman@highrely.com. Thanks, Vance
